Cigars that have been infused with artificial flavors. Think Acid, CAO Moontrance (or something like that), those honey flavored deals, grape white owls, the Ghurka cognac cigar, you get the idea.

Thanks, but as a novice smoker, how would I know that ACID is a flavored cigar? The title doesn't give it away, eg, its not called ACID cognac...that is obvious.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Help - What is considered a flavored cigar?

I had a Jameson cigar last night that was given to me as a sample after I purchased a bunch of other stuff. I enjoyed it, but don't know it was flavored or not.

Hmmm, looks like I need to get a clue.

Dude, relax, this is really easy. If it smells like pure tobacco, then it's not flavored. If it doesn't smell like pure tobacco, then it's flavored! However, if it smells like a stripper, then it's definitely an Acid!

OK cool. Thanks. That was simply put. This was definitely all tobacco smell and IMO an OK smoke. I was just reading some of the cigars you listed and in the description its pretty obvious which ones are flavored.

Happy smoking.

No problem, glad you liked the cigar, and you are right about separating flavored from non-flavored. Regardless of your feelings on flavored smokes, never ever store them in the same humidor. Don't stress about Maduro vs. Colorado shaded wrappers though, that won't matter (in my experience). Keep in mind that the best way to store your smokes is in the original boxes; this obviously won't work for your singles, but keep your box purchases in their boxes.

OMG... best reply ever

I've smoked my fair share of flavored cigars and for a while that was all I'd smoked, but I've only smoked 1/4 of an Acid. It's pretty obvious to the nose which is which.

You can also click on the Top25 link at the top of the page and check out the particular cigar in question.

I have to disagree here, There are those that smell just fine like the Del sol but once you put it in your mouth you know its flavored

...and if it smells like the best part of a 20 year old beauty-queen after she just stepped out of the shower, it's a Cuban.
