I am lining up an interview with Kaz Hansotia of Gurkha, and was wondering if the folks here had any specific questions they would want me to ask?

Re: Questions for Kaizad Hansotia of Gurkha

I am a fan of Gurkha and also a fan of the Medieval time period.

I wonder if he is also a Fantasy/History buff as a lot of the Gurkha lines have Dragons/Warlord/Warrior themes to them.

Thanks

Jay

Good question, we'll make sure to ask him how he derives the names, and if they come from some outside interest of his.

Okay folks...others?

How many Different blends are there?
And why is that one (can't think of the name) so expensive.

I'm a big fan of his cigars, but recently there have been problems with consistency and splitting and unravelling and such. Is he planning on addressing the quality control issues?

Maybe you can get some ideas from the interview I did in his office last March.

Re: Questions for Kaizad Hansotia of Gurkha

Hey, how about asking this question....

It seems like every 3-6 months there is a new "flavor of the week" on a newer breakout brand, how do you combat that when your time is up?

Or, the real question i want the answer to....

"Why is Gurkha the best brand in the world?"... because it is. haha, just playing , but i do love gurkhas!

Too funny Bobby!

Not a great question but......

To Mr. Hansotia: I like your different styles of cigar boxes. I like that they're different but imagine that you've faced a lot of resistance to the modern/different designs that your boxes have which lack the benefit of Spanish Cedar. I have your G5 Avenger box but as soon as I got it, I removed the cigars to place them in a cedar box in the humi, leaving the plastic (?) spaceship box for collecting change. Should I be so aanal about the storage of my cigars in cedar and were the cigars intended to be moved out of the plastic box upon purchase?

Thanks for doing this Paul!

You love being anal!

I agree though, their boxes are super jazzy, but look as if they lack the benefit of seasoning!
