Picked up two samplers this weekend at a local shop..

There is this nice liquer store that mainly sells online but has their retail store about 4 miles from me. They sell tons of wine and liquer with a small smittering of beer in the fridge and of coarse a walkin humi.

I couldn't decide what to get and remembered my gf's brother liked Cohiba.

I picked up a Cohiba 3 pack sampler that came in a nice 3 finger cigar case and a CAO country sampler.

I smoked one of the CAO's on Turkey Day but havn't touched the Cohiba's yet.

Anyone have any opinions on Cohiba?

I know my gf's brother loves them a LOT...so wondered if they lived up to most people's expectations. He's Japanese so I can't really talk to him and ask him what he likes about them, he doesn't speak English and I don't speak Japanese. Translation with my gf would probably not convey the right info.

The NC are OK, not bad but nothing special. The CC's though are great. The reason I bring this up is because if he's in Japan and you're in America, you two might be thinking about two different Cohiba's.

NC Cohibas are just ok. IMO, you can buy 2 better cigars for the price of one of them. However, if it floats your boat it's all good.

I like the Cohiba XV's. Not crazy about the rest of 'em.

Very true.. He does live in Japan and can get real Cuban cigars.

I bombed him with a humi filled with cigars and he offered to send me a box of Cuban cigars. I think I'll take him up on the offer.

I never thought there'd be a difference between them but now that you mention it.. there probably is some.
