601's being discontinued?
My local shop is clearing out all his 601's for 30% off. I asked why and he said the manufacturer can't move them so they are discontinuing the line.

Has anyone else heard this? I guess at 30% off, I should scoop up a box or two.

That's wierd. Are you sure it's not that he can't move them? My B&M has all kinds of good stuff on the discount wall (Camachos, Avos, Oliva Special Ss, Romeo y Julieta Aniversarios and more), but that's because they don't move at this particular shop.

That better not be true.
I just started in on my 601 kick. I've gone through about a box of each already and I'm stocking up a couple of boxes of each right now.

I love the blue/green and red makes for a very good daily smoker and the black is one of the very few connecticuts that I actually enjoy.

Here is the direct quote "the manufacturer is refocusing their efforts on another line. Which in the cigar world means they are not selling, so we're (the maker) dropping them."

Maybe he's misunderstanding what they mean by refocusing. Either way, I'm getting them for 30% off, and he still has about 8 boxes left.

Absolutely NOT!!!!,,,,I'm actually leaving for Texas today, doing an event at Lone Star in Houston on Thursday and visiting other retailers. Can you tell me the name of the retailer who gave you this information?

I must say that I am very pleased to hear that this is just a false rumor. I greatly enjoy your cigars and look forward to keeping more in my humidor.

I know Eddie has already spoken up, but he's going to be doing an event at my shop on Friday. My guess is that the retailer in question has no relationship (or a poor relationship) with Miami Cigar, who is now the distributor of EO Cigars (601, Cubao, etc).
