My Lucky day at the B&M: Part Deux

So last night I was going trough my email and I get an email form the local B&M of which I am on their mailing list. Here is the email:

Quote:
I am happy to say that **** CIGAR SHOP Has just received the FUENTE FUENTE
OPUS X PERFECXION X 2008 COFFINS AND HUMIDOR. It is the Fifth Anniversary
Edition 2004-2008. The cigars will be $27 per cigar.

Also just arrived is the GOD OF FIRE by DON CARLOS 2006, aged 2 years 2008
Release. They are all in Coffins and the Robusto will be $22.

Also there is the GOD OF FIRE by CARLITO 2006, AGED 2 years 2008 release. They
are all in Coffins and the Double Robusto is $25

Come get them while they last

Thanks

Joe

I immediately jumped in my car and raced out to Joe’s shop. When I arrived Joe told me I was the first to inquire about the goodies. He opened up the package and soon we both realized that this was Charitable Foundation pack with different special sizes and shades. Here is the link:

https://www.prometheuskkp.com/produc...x/cfcf2008.htm

After opening the package the other regulars that were hanging around smoking all huddled around in awe as we took out each coffin and looked at the different shapes and sizes. I was told I could purchase (4) and that I got first pick due to I was the first one to inquire about them. I thought my head was going to explode! The only one that was off limits was the Lancero due to that was Joe’s to keep for himself. So I just picked out the sizes and shapes that I prefer. After we finished our dealings Joe started figuring out that he had sold me the cigars at his cost. He said that Prometheus told him there is no suggested MSRP just use your own discretion for price. I believe he thought that he got a box that had the standard 20 or 24 counts in it when writing the email. He said later that at $27 per he was just covering his cost. After I paid for mine he said that some of the remaining would be sold from $30-$40 and as high as $45 for some.

I am pretty excited with what I got. Now I just have to keep from smoking them.

Here is what I ended up with:

Very nice my friend, very nice! So are you going to let it sit, or will you fire one up?

I will let them sit. I have yet to smoke an Opus yet but recently acquired some from a BOTL from this board.

Listen to this, I am going back in 2 weeks for the shops Christmas party. The guy who owns the shop said he is going to let me have the beautiful monstrous box that these came in and more importantly he is handing out a God of Fire cigar to everyone there for the party along with a bunch of other goodies.

Very sweet!

I'll share this just to show what a n00b I am.

I went to a huge open house at a local B&M a few weeks ago and they had the OpusX coffins there. I looked at them and thought, "Those are cool, I wonder what they are?" and went about my business.

Oh well, live and learn...

Great smokes no doubt, but I don't know if I would consider paying $27 a cigar being "lucky."
