Tobacco Gallery on Kate Street, off of Prestion. It's an excellent shop, and they will have anything you need and can help with suggestions as well. Good luck!

Re: in Dallas with a couple hours to kill
If Taboo is close enough for you to hit I'd go there - I've ordered a few times from them and they have never disappointed.
Make sure to tell them your a ClubStogie member and you'll get hooked up!

Re: in Dallas with a couple hours to kill
Unfortunately Taboo was thirty miles away from where I was at and I didnt have that kind of time. Instead I went to Tobacco Gallery and did some browsing. I picked up a Padron 1964 Anniversary torpedo. Being a pipe smoker I dont know how to put down the "specs" but it is 6x52. I also grabbed a Partagas Limited Reserve Decadas for my brother for christmas. This one he'll really enjoy.
I plan on smoking the padron tomorrow when I get to Joplin MO. I'll give another update then. |

Re: in Dallas with a couple hours to kill
Well, I finally go the chance to sit down and relax with this cigar. I went to some skanky pool hall and played a couple hours, and was very tempted to smoke it then. Instead I went to some hole in the wall restaurant and grabbed a quick sit down dinner then headed back to the hotel. When I got there I lit it up. I may not know much, but I knew that lighting it was key, so I just tried to light it as evenly as possible. Doing so made it a much more enjoyable experience than my first cigar a few weeks back. It wasnt an expensive one, 8$, but it started bitter and stayed that way.
It gave me a good 45 minute smoke (or better). As smooth as I can expect a cigar to be, very flavorful. A lot different from a pipe, in fact, not at all what I expected. It was good up until the point that the nicotine started kicking in. I couldnt quite make it to the wrapper, but I got pretty close. It gave me a bigger buzz than I've ever had smoking a pipe. I'll throw a cigar into my rotation on the occasion, as long as they are as good as the one I had last night. |
