What to smoke to celebrate college acceptance?
Well, I was just accepted into the college that I would like to attend. Go NC State University!
Though I usually smoke a pipe (cigars are expensive!) I want to smoke something great to celebrate. So, I got to thinking, what are the favorite special occasion cigars of the good folks on Club Stogie? Any suggestions? |

Congratz! I would smoke some kind of Dunhill or Opus if I were you.
Alternatively, pick a smoke that you want to designate as your celebration cigar and ONLY smoke it on special occasions. Doesn't even need to be a super premium: I find that if you associate a cigar with a great emotion (excitement, happiness) you will enjoy every single "celebration cigar"! Its kind of an extension of the idea that your state of mind impacts your impressions of a smoke.  |

Making the transition from Pipe to cigar, you might give the Acid One a shot. I swore I would never smoke a flavored cigar after a bad Cojimar experience, but someone gave me an Acid One at a grad party actually. i liked it...well more like I REALLY liked it. i smoke at least one a week now. I'm told by familynon smokers they smell better than most others as well.

Congratulations! I would recommend something in the Padron '64 Maduro line. Tomorrow night, I am celebrating being accepted to University of Chicago's MBA program. I think I'm going to go with a Partagas.
