My first Opusx

been making friends with the guys down at my local B&M and today they gave me a call that the Opus had come in. I am still new to cigars but have been wanting to try one of these. Ended up coming home with 5 Opus X and two between the lines and two sharks. And the nice part was that they were all at MSRP! some days it pays to get out of bed!

Which size did you smoke, what did you think of it? Like it? Dislike it?

I hear the sharks are great. I haven't tried mine yet, it was the last one at the B&M. I don't have the heart to smoke it without a replacement.

Very cool. I enjoy a good Opus now. However, I hope your first experience was better than my first. Didn't eat a whole lot before and ended up

this is no lie! they can be quite strong. If you brought home 5, I suggest smoking 1 now, another after a year, and so on. I received 2 in trade last year. I smoked one right away which was very well balanced but very strong. I expect that #2 will be torched before the new year and I look forward to seeing if its mellowed at all.

Re: My first Opusx

I have been smoking Opus for years and love them. My wife described it best when she took a taste of mine and said how smooth it was. She then said, after only one puff mind you, "It's delicious and not as strong as I thought it would be". and then she got dizzy and fell back against the wall. Eat first and sit down when smoking Opus. You will Love it...

It's cool when a B&M calls you or saves you some. Most shops out here either gouge or limit you to two. One of our B&Ms let me buy 16 Opus Perfecxion No.2s in one shot today. This is a good day.

Same here. I bought two Opus and still don't have the heart to smoke them. I'm sure I will, but when, God knows.....
