Seeking opinions on NC small cigars

Looking at the 3 pages of small cigars that CI has, I have chosen the Partagas black Pronto, MacMaduro Ascot Mad, and the CAO MX2 dagger. Are these good choices? Or do they taste like dog poo? I really want some good small cigars like the Cohiba CC that comes in a little yellow box individually. I forgot the actuall name of it. Or can you guys suggest some other NC's I can purchase? Keep in mind I like good flavors, not too much spice, and I'm looking for something small (4"x32 ish).

TIA!

PS: this is where I found their small cigars list.

Padron Corticos.

If you're willing to go up a bit on the size, DPG Black Perlas (1952) and/or Don Kiki Brown Botellas.

Re: Seeking opinions on NC small cigars

I tried the RP Juniors that come in 1992 and Sungrown which are ok. They come in tins of 5.

I decided this trip around, since I'm in need of lunchtime smokes, to get the Olivia G's which are almost 4" long and taste good.

Do a search for my username.. I posted on small cigars a few months ago and there's a lot of good suggestions.

Of the three types you mention I have only had the Partagas Prontos. If memory serves me right (no guarantee) they were tasty, but had a good amount of spice (pepper type spice). I'd be curious about the MX2.

Don Pepin makes a very nice smoke called the Demitasse for his Blue Label, which fits those dimensions. I've only had one, it is a solid little smoke.

Re: Seeking opinions on NC small cigars

I just won a bid for $9 on Partagas Black Prontos - Tin of 6. They'll ship out either tomorrow or next week. I'm hoping next week, since I've got a couple other bids going.

Re: Seeking opinions on NC small cigars

I have been disappointed with many small smokes compared to their larger cousins. Not so the CAO MX2. When I bought them I had never tried the full size MX2, but these tasty sticks prompted me to.

I only won the party prontos tin and smoked one yesterday. It wasn't bad at all! At first it was a lot more pepper than I like, but it mellowed out a good bit. Got a little bitter about halfway through. I'm currently bidding on a few more tins of small stogies. I hope to win some more!

i hope you won't be comparing these to the cohiba panatelas (i think) you described in your original post. those little babies are sweet...

Re: Seeking opinions on NC small cigars

yea the panatellas! those are GREAT! No these weren't close to them. I also just won a bid on the MX2 daggers. They will probably be shipped out tomorrow. I wish I had a source to get some of those little cohibas though.
