Re: What is everyone smoking for New Years?

Going out for Thai food with friends tonight.
Packed a RP Decade & an Opus in my two stick leather cigar pouch.
Unfortunately, I'm the only cigar smoker in this group & it's freezing outside. Going to smoke in the car on the way home. My wife is cool with that. She says she loves the smell of my cigars! I'm a very luck guy!!

Happy New year to All!

Re: What is everyone smoking for New Years?

I'm gonna have my New Years cigar on January 3rd. And then another one to celebrate my 18th Birthday! God, I am dying to try one. I mean, I'm ripping out my hair. Counting hours...
It will Probably be a Romeo y Julieta, followed by something cheaper. Don't know what yet.

Either a 2004 Fuente Forbidden X Toro or a 1926 80 Year Padron . I only have one 1926 Padron 80 Year . But I have Nine 2004 Fuente Forbidden X's . So it will be a hard choice. Everyone have a good and safe New Years!

Re: What is everyone smoking for New Years?

Had a Padron 2000, which I enjoyed. But also had a Bahia Blue by Tony Borhani, which really suprised me. I wasn't expecting much, for what I paid for these, but was pleasantly sursprised! For a medium flavored smoke, I was impressed. The construction was very good, and the burn was evenly surprising! Nice firm feeling cigar down to the nub. I expected the Padron to be good, which it was, I just wasn't expecting the Bahia Blue to be as good as it was. Or maybe I just had too much to drink, but I don't think so!

Re: What is everyone smoking for New Years?

I ended up smoking a Cohiba Siglo IV and a Montecristo #4

The Cohiba was very nice, the burn, draw and construction was perfect. The flavors were nice but I cant taste the grass flavor that everyone talks about in the silgo line.

The Cohiba was a great cigar - but way overpriced. I wont pay $35.00 for one of those again. I think I would prefer to pay an extra $5 and get a Padron 1964 Maduro

Re: What is everyone smoking for New Years?

I started 2009 with a DPG blue and thoroughly enjoyed it, freezing temperature notwithstanding.

I also had one too many beers and almost paid for it but am having some coffee now and waiting for my new espresso machine to arrive.

Happy new year!

Re: What is everyone smoking for New Years?

Was a long smoke night for me. Started with a Fuente Cuban Corona at work with a few co-workers, then onto an AB Tempus which then got followed by a Padron 1926 #2, then close to midnight I tried out one of my Opus X XXX. Ended the night with a Padron 2000.
