Is your cigar room going to be air conditioned? If not I would try a fridge conversion.

Hey Cartierusm, Yes it will be air conditioned. I'll have a 6000 btu ac unit cooling 160 sq. ft. of space.

Re: Wanting input for new humidor please

you can just send me whatever cigars you dont have room for..

if you going so far as to build a room then why not build a nice full size cabinet and consolodate your exisitng humidors, or have a self to put your existing humi's for sinlge selections plus display selves for full boxes?

I agree. If you're going to have your own cigar room, you might as well go as big as possible on the humidor so that you're not constantly upgrading. Go big and then spend the money on filling it up instead of buying more humidors.

I agree, I now have two 500 count cabinets and one 150 count hummidor, I would of saved alot of money and floor space with one large cabinet.

Re: Wanting input for new humidor please

I had that humi before.

The bottom will hold maybe 3- 4 full boxes the top shelf will hold around 200 singles.

I think you can get a bigger humi for the same amount of money. Its a nice humidor. But,if you plan on growing your collection. You will be out of room in a month.

Re: Wanting input for new humidor please

No offense to Bargain humidors, the guys there are very helpful, but I have one of these and it's not that great. The front door has a sizeable gap which makes it not air tight. If you use a Cigar Oasis then it will be able to keep up with loss. I examined it from every angle and there is not way to easily use weatherstripping to seal the door as it hinders the drawers. The flaw is in the design not the construction. I think what you should put in your smoking room should be larger, I think you can do better.

Re: Wanting input for new humidor please

I agree that a cabinet is the way to go. The floor model in you first post is like one a co-worker has, and it doesn't hold near what is advertised. I don't know anyone with first hand experience but this is a larger cabi for not much $

The only problem is that the March shipment sold out. Now it is MAY if you can wait.
Good luck on your search.

Several gorillas, including me, have the Vicksburg from bargain humidors. 500 count with digital hygro for $130 shipped. Can't beat it! IMHO.
