Bottom Shelf: Best Cigar Catalogue Copy

So I was thumbing through the Holt's holiday catalogue when I came across this gem (pg 72; edited for brevity, but all quotes are verbatim):

'These cigars aren't even remotely good... these cigars are called "Bottom Shelf" because that is the only suitable place for cigars of this caliber to be stored... These cigars are so bad; the most accurate description we can give them is "barely smokable." They look horrid, the construction is shoddy, and the flavor and aroma are mundane at best... The prices are eye-poppingly cheap... but you know what they say: You get what you pay for!'

You have to give them credit for their honesty!

Any other gems out there? Might be interesting to read some other favorites.

I have always wondered why Holts uses up so much ad space in their catalogs for really really cheap cigars.

I once asked an Ashton rep and he said they find these deals, where the manufacturers have a large quantity of cigars they cannot sell. So Holt's buys the entire lot really cheap then marks them up slightly. I guess at that point it is a volume game.

In terms of ad copy, you have to give it to them for their honesty, they are usually very straight forward with their "bundle" cigars.
