I don't mind the higher prices for singles, it is worth it just to walk in that magnificent humidor my favorite B&M has so well stocked. Very nice selection.
They always treat me well, have given a few freebies out, and I try to treat them well also.
I buy mostly on the web, but I still drop by once or twice a month.

Re: Suport your local Tobacconist's

I get poetic about my local. Even tho JR in Selma and Greensboro are both about an hour from my house I'd much rather visit Nash Cigar in nearby Rocky Mount.

The owner and his wife both remember customers names, tastes and keep new things, show samples, etc. for us to try gratis or, at least, hold them aside to give us right of first refusal; they order what I ask for (mostly) and keep a spotless store and lounge with fresh coffee and a fridge (always full of bottled water, sodas, Half&Half and some other nice liquid stuff). They keep blooming cigars displayed on the lids of open boxes and have a stash of blooming specials that appear from time to time. Their prices are always fair for singles but, predictably, not the lowest that a dedicated shopper could find.

Nice folks, good store and friendly atmosphere. I pay them more rather than buy off the internet 90% of the time. Sorry for some of you'all, but taxes are very low in NC, which makes this sort of place easy to shop. I'd miss this store if it wasn't available.
