Haggling with cigar.com

I was just wondering if anyone here has had any luck haggling with them, I hear that they are owned by the same people as cbid and cigarinternational however they are almost always more and don't offer the same samples or selection. I was wondering if anyone has been able to get them to price match. I would buy from one of the other sites however I live in Canada and the other to won't ship to me.

I don't know if they would; cigar.com only shares it's warehousidor with CI. Two different companies.

I hear Atlantic Cigar is Canuck-friendly

Re: Haggling with cigar.com

I deal with tim b at cigar.com and I don;t necessarly haggle with him but I always e-mail him and he will either match Ci or sometimes he gives me a better deal. It's at least worth a shot to call and see what they can do.

Re: Haggling with cigar.com

As a first time buyer, they took 10% off my order. I got the a 50 count of Primeros Regionals on sale from 60 for 29.95. With Shipping my order came to 26 bucks, not a bad cigar either for 53 cents a stick!

I just simply asked, do I get a discount for being a first time buyer. I also talked with a rep over their chat system. When I tried the same with CI, they only offered the free shipping deal of the week/day

Re: Haggling with cigar.com

I haven't ordered from them in a long time but back in the day after you placed an order or two you would get a personal email from a rep telling you to contact them directly for better prices. They also had stuff not listed on the site. Again, I have no idea if that is still the policy because I rarely buy singles online and their box prices are not competitive. But when I was a noob wanting to try lots of new stuff I ordered from them quite often.
