Lost UPS Shipment ... I'm bummed

We it finally happened to me... our buddies in Brown (UPS) seems to have lost my Christmas present to myself shipment of Padron 6000's and Liga Privada No. 9 Belicosos from Tampa Humidor. They made it to Salt Lake City and that is the last anyone at UPS seems to have seen them.

I'm sure they will be quickly replaced but I'm still bummed.

I've had numerous problems with UPS. They once left a package that contained a box of VSG in them hidden behind a flower pot in front of my house. I never knew it was there and for two days it sat outside in the rain. The cigars were runied.

Another time they delivered my cigars to the house house down the street....

I can't stand the men in brown.

I just hope that what ever member of the Brown crew made off with my sticks had the good sense to rest them and not share them with low life buddies on New Years Eve.

I made friends with the guy in brown so when a package arrives he always puts it on the front porch or if my garage is open will ring the doorbell until I get to the door,,,I tip him a cigar for his diligence in making sure my cigars are delivered safe and sound. im still waiting on things i ordered on 12/26, my estimated date of delivery is 1/5, it normally only takes 3 days for packages from CI, and Famous to get here. oh well ill have them soon

The worst thing about this for me.....a Famous order got lost (their log says 'left at doorstep' which means they got the wrong doorstep or it was stolen).....call Famous, they say fine, we'll replace at no charge to you. BUT, they submitted their insurance claim to UPS and shortly afterward I'm given paperwork to sign from UPS that confirms that it is indeed lost. And now they will leave NOTHING at my doorstep. I gotta sign for everything thing whether it be from Famous or anyone else.

Well it appears that UPS, the boys in Brown, are sending my smokes on a nation wide tour. They went back to Florida from Salt Lake City Utah and now they have made a stop in Kentucky. I wonder where they will go next.

So watch for my cigars in a major city near you.

Too bad no one's getting pictures of them on their travels. You could do the cigar version of the Roaming Gnome thing. You should at least get some frequent flier miles out of it.

Union delivery drivers at their best I work with a woman who works at UPS and from the way she talks I rarely feel confident about any package I have coming on the big brown bus. Talks of drivers returning to sender packages just because the road was blocked off less than 25 feet from the driveway they were delivering to, throwing packages behind trees and never telling anyone, insurance claims being bongled by insisting the packages were delivered when in fact they show back up at the sender's house/business, her returning packages to sender just because when they came to deliver they were too lazy to really look for the house and the person is irritated when they call her at the terminal so she gets pissed off and hits the RTS on it... the list goes on. We actually just had a big bust here at the Fayetteville terminal with a supervisor stealing several tens of thousands of dollars worth of shipments... some covered, some not... some people having to lump that b@stard's greed.
Sorry, had to get that out- bottom line though is I hope it works out for you man.

You need to get to know your delivery driver.

The man in brown that delivers stuff to me knows me quite well from all the other packages I have had delivered over the years.

This last summer, I restored a motorcycle and whenever he delivered parts I ordered, he would spend about 30 minutes or so in my garage talking to me about motorcycles. It got to the point where I wished the parts I had ordered were delivered by FedEx.

I made an order with CI on the 22nd and it arrived through Brown on Tuesday, the 6th. I made another order on the 28th through CI and it arrived on the 2nd through USPS. At least the USPS gets packages to the house. Brown is damned near useless.

Yeah, and they keep on going up with the fuel charges, A 4 lb package costing $6.81 last week went up to $7.20

And then they ask what ca brown do for you? well stop throwing my packages around. And stop updating my prices every second week.

I ordered the Oliva sampler from Famous on the Dec. 28th. Famous sent it out right away, but now the delivery date has been updated so to speak. The UPS website says I'll get it today. So I get a full 10 day wait. I can get a USPS package from across the country in 3 days.
