going to orlando next week

thinking about making a day trip on wednesday (i got one day open in my schedule).

any recommended cigar places to go in or around orlando? I could go to tampa as well, i've heard there are some nice cigar places to visit there.

Don't remember the name but there is a nice shop in Downtown Disney, across from Virgin Records and across from Wofgang Puck.

If you make it over to Tampa, there are several places to stop. Almost everyone will tell you to stop by Edward's, or King Corona in Ybor City. Casa Tobacco is a great shop on the north end of town. It was, until just recently, called Cigars and Pars. Steve and Jamie are very friendly, very knowledgable, and they have great prices too. Whether you buy a box a week or a stick a month, they treat everyone like their best customer.

I ent to Corona's and it is real nice. the entire store is a humidor and they have some nice beers and ports. they also have some pre-embargo habanos ($$$$$$).

I disagree that it was pricey because I went to a couple of other places locally and found them to be similar if not higher than Corona's (except on the 1920 habanos). but the place is real nice. check it out.

Also; there is a real nice Cuban resteraunt in WInter park or WInter Springs (not real sure if it is either really) called Fernando's...Excellent and reasonably priced.

Corona Cigars in Orlando is a nice store where you can spend hours walking through the inventory and then sit down with a Cuban coffee or other libation while enjoying a cigar and big screen TV. it is a favorite local hangout for all sorts of cigar lovers.

If you are in the Tampa area, Ybor City is a wonderful way to spend a day. Several cigar shops along the street including King Corona, El Sol, Havanna Dreams (these are real good cigars rolled on-site, you can watch), Arturo Fuente and others. Good food at Carmines (my favorite, excellent Cuban sandwhich and black beans and rice combo for lunch but it is CASH only!)), Columbia Restaraunt (sometimes has a roller on site) are the ones I have eaten at.

For variety, Ybor City is great and there is enough other stuff to keep the family somewhat engaged (including a new movie theater) while you shop cigars. Plus Ybor City is full of cigar history as it was the center of cigar rolling in the past. Corona Cigars is just cigars, lots of cigars, but surrounded by a typical strip mall as well. I spend money at Corona regularly and visit Ybor whenever I am in the Tamp area.

You absolutely positively have to go to Corona Cigar.

I vacationed on Florida in late December, and saw a business card at the hotel I was staying at for a free drink of my choice at Corona Cigar with that card. I went to check it out without having any prior knowledge of the place and I wanted to stay for hours! It is heaven on earth for cigar smokers.

its been said but Corona treast ya well! and as for daytona, yeah dont come its lame here though Bike Week is kinda cool... mostly hogs bar hopping but the people watching is priceless!
