Re: Does anyone like PUNCH???
I like Punch. I always have a selection in my humidor. The mainstays are the Vintage, Rare Corojo and of course the Champion. The Champion is one of my favorite go to smokes. So much so, that I always have a box on hand. Over the years I have grown tired of some brands or my tastes changed or their blends changed, or...you get the point. I've continued to enjoy Punch cigars all these years still.
Now that you have me thinking about it, I don't believe I have ever had a Punch cigar that dispointed me. I don't believe I have ever lit a Punch up and not liked it. That can't be said for alot of others cigar brands I have tried. |

Re: Does anyone like PUNCH???
Punch has always worked well for me. Never disappointed. The Royal Selection #11 from Havana is my favorite cigar, even though generally like a fuller bodied cigar.
I think Punch, because it is an older and bigger name, gets talked about less than in the past versus the newer, smaller, botique brands. But they are owned by a large company and don't have quite the arsenal of constant new smokes for the market. Nonetheless, they are GREAT for the money. A lot of people look for bidget cigars around here and end up spendind $2-$4 for something nobody has ever heard of, but one just needs to look to Punch for some great deals on delicious cigars! |

Re: Does anyone like PUNCH???
My boxes of 2001 Double Coronas are treating me very well. The Corona and the Royal Selection No. 11 are also quite tasty, but those DCs are fantastic. Me likey Punch

Re: Does anyone like PUNCH???
I guess I've always passed over these because they are such a name brand that doesn't change often. I'm like a raven, I see what I want and then get distracted by something new and shiny. To fix this, I have a 5 pack of Punch magnums resting in the humi.

Re: Does anyone like PUNCH???
I think part of the reason Punch doesn't get wide discussion is because of its consistency. Lots of people have them in their humidors and enjoy them regularly but don't often talk about them.
I can remember only one badly constructed Punch in the many years I've been enjoying them. I always have some on hand. Puffing a Pita or a Rothschild by the fire pit is one of my great summer pleasures. They're not the most complex stick out there, but they always deliver. |
