Re: Sad day.

Well- An update.

Did the USPS app, then did their online assessment and this up coming Monday, I'll be going in to take their written assessment.

With TSA I couldn't find any near me that I'd be qualified for(Well, there was a position that paid 100k+, but I'm pretty sure with that one I wouldn't be qualified.)

Also got another interview at a grocery store nearby. One of those "If all else fails" Situations.

Hopefully it all works out.

Cross your fingers for me?

I read in another thread that some dude gave the deliverer of his cigars a stick to say "Thanks" and I thought how cool.

Who knows....you could be looking at a much better job than you ever dreamed of!!

I'm pulling for you.

Re: Sad day.

Welll, took their in-person test earlier today. Got my results back, and for every position, I have 80.9 as a score.

It says that if I was ineligible, it would show on the report, but.. anyone know how "eligible" an 80.9 is? I mean, is it 80.9 out of 100?? It doesn't say it's a percentage.

So lost.

Re: Sad day.

Also,

the wife kicked me out Saturday night, then let me come back Sunday afternoon, for pretty much no apparent reason. I cook her dinner, she comes home from work, I bring her the food, and she tells me she wants me out, at least for a night.

Got a bad feeling about things, now. Any advice, friends?

Seems fishy. She prone to mood swings like that often?

Re: Sad day.

Have you looked at BNSF.com? It's the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad website. Could be a good career move. Nothing better than the Railroad pension. And the starting pay is pretty good too.

Re: Sad day.

Never before. I mean, she has her moments, but has never just up and done anything like that before. Normally, she just calls me an a**hole and I go smoke a cigar..

Btw, Fortune- Got the sticks today. Thanks again, brother!

Man brother, you have just been hit with a shit storm lately! If I had to guess, she is probably over stressed about finances. I can only imagine all the crap you have been through these past few months. All I can tell you man, is to hang in there. My mom always tells me, "It could always be worst." I hate to hear her say those words, but it does have a little truth to it.

Re: Sad day.

Man i've been watching this thing from afar and not really saying anything but I just want you to know man I'm sending one up for you. In agreement with gboyet93, it does sound like she's probably just really stressed. I know this probably doesn't fit well with the boards but I've found after being in a pretty fu**** up situation before, NOT going out and smoking a cigar as a change of pace can really change how she thinks. And if you're really hankerin for a smoke, try the pipe- much cheaper and still very relaxing. Good luck and keep the ol head up brother.

Re: Sad day.

Ahh, another update to you guys. She wants me to get an apartment by the end of February. She thinks that "some time where we aren't always around each other could help us get closer". I'm of the belief that it'll bring us further apart, and most importantly, distance me from my daughter. Guess I won't get much choice in the matter, though. I just don't know how things'll work out with this one, guys. I just have a feeling I'll be fighting for visitation rights soon, and it's really getting to me.

I'll take your tip on the pipe man, I'll try some stuff out. Maybe it'll get her off this mind set.

Re: Sad day.

I hope things pan out for you and your family bro.
Sorry to hear about your troubles. BTW you might want to look up Subcontractors concepts inc (SCI) They help find positions for people looking for jobs. You get to be your own boss and the pay is pretty darn good if ya don't mind driving. Just a thought
