Well, did the interview today. I think it went well! From what I understand, there were three applicants. One cancelled, and one rescheduled their time- Keith, the postmaster, had me originally reschedule for 2:45, and then called at 1:05 to see if I could come in at 2:00 because of the cancellation, and I made a 1 hr 10 minute drive into a 47 minute drive.

A friend of mine also called, it seems her store is hiring two people, and she's willing to slip me into one of the positions. It's a place that sells and rents suits and tuxedo's, and well- it pays OK. I also get quality suits at cheap prices. (She used to hook me up with them anyway, but.. now I don't need the middle-man! heh.)


Either way, I've got a good job!

Best of luck to you all....I'm going through the pains myself. It's bad enough that I'm looking at changing career paths altogether.

At least I'm one shirt away from having an interview worthy dressup...no suit (too broke, my size starts around $300)...but it will still look superb.

Okaaay.

I got some amazing news(for me at least) today. The wife's godfather, a man who started up a multi-million dollar company(I forget the name, but it's Gallup's main east coast competitor) wants to mentor me. We go over there all season for the Husker games, and I've shared a cigar or two with him before, but I'm crazy surprised that he's wanting to do this! Out of the blue, too.


And, I'm now the Assistant Manager of Best Styles Formal Wear's Gateway location.
Aswell as Rising City's Sub-Route Carrier.

Gotta say,

You definitely should stop by next time you're up here, my man!

As for the job, I'm the substitute carrier for Rising City officially, and I also can get work in Seward, David City, etc. etc.(Pretty much all the other towns in the area) I'm also now in work with Best Styles Formal Wear as an Assistant Manager of the Gateway location.

Do you get Federal Service time as a sustitute?
