Smoke magazine

I purchased a subscription to this periodical back in early december. My CC was charged immediately but I have not seen my first issue. Does anyone have experience dealing with this people (Lockwood publications)?

I tried contacting them but only got a voicemail.

Same thing here. I subscribed online two years ago and never saw one issue. Sent e-mails...nothing. This is a common complaint about cigar mag distribution I have heard over and over from many people regarding several different magazines. Weird.

I was a happy subscriber to Cigar magazine but I wanted to read a publication lacking Lew Rothman's bias.

I am planning on initiating a formal inquiry with my CC company.

I use to take Smoke Magazine but stopped it after the subscription ran out. If you called and all you got was voicmail then I would dispute the charge esp. if you waited a month.

I had an issue with a non-cigar pub recently - hadn't seen an issue and it had been well over two months since I had subscribed, and PAID, for the subscription. I emailed the mag and within a week I had all the copies and it's been on time since. Try emailing them. If not - go to your CC company.

I have had problems with Cigar Mgazine in the past, but never had Smoke. I'm sure the CC company will take care of it if the mag won't. Good luck.

I get Smoke and never had a peoblem with them. But sounds like you are getting a raw deal. Let us know what happens.

I use to have a subscription years ago and from what I recall it is only published 4 or 6 times per year. If I remember correctly at the time of your subscription you are slotted to receive the next published issue. So you will have to wait until it is published. I seem to recall it taking several months before receiving my first issue.

Update: I received my first issue this past Friday. Not bad reading. I only wish it was thicker for only coming out 4 times a year.
