The "Cigar Brothers" Herf

Last night I had the pleasure of meeting two of Club Stogie's finest, Carlos (Blueface) and MikeZ, and seeing my old friend MattK for a little herf action.

We started out with some primo seafood at Bob Chinns Crabhouse in Wheeling IL. The crew opted for Chinns' famous Mai Tais while I went with the old familiar Stoli. Some great conversation with 3 great guys and some awesome crab legs got the night off to a good start.

After dinner we moseyed over to Pete Millers Steak House where an awesome blues band jamming. We got a table right in front of the band and got ready to herf. I started with a PSP2 for a mellow start to the evening. With everyone lit up, the guitar player/singer of the blues band started calling us the "Cigar Brothers". We came to find out that he is a cigar fan and liked having the cigars wafting up onto the stage.

Each of the three guys gifted me with a nice cigar or two (Thanks Guys!!), and I decided to light up MikeZ's gift as my second (and last) cigar of the evening, a beautiful Cohiba Sublime. During the band's next set, Carlos started the ball rolling by giving the singer a VR Don Alejandro...you should have seen the look in the guy's eyes when he looked at the cigar band. All 4 of us ending up tipping him a cigar, I gave him a Monte D EL and I know he got a nice Habano Punch as well. Well, the singer started shouting "Club Stogie Dot Com" on a regular basis after that. It was truly hysterical.

As for me, I would just like toi thank Carlos, Mike and Matt for a great time and I hope we do it again soon....perhaps some of the other Chicago Gorillas can jopin us next time. Great guys, great food, great smokes, great times.

If you live on the North side might take you 1/2 hour or so Julian.

We'd love to have our Wisconsin Brothers join us next time too, and I would certainly drive Northward for a border herf.

Tom! You are a true BOTL my friend. Finally getting to meet you and MattK was a real treat. This was my second time herfing with Carlos and true to his nature, he's a generous and genuinely nice guy. The great food, drinks and cigars was only overshadowed by the fine company. I hope we get to do this again soon. And when that happens, the drinks are on me.

So close..yet so far. Sounds like a GREAT time was had by all! It's stories like this that make me wish I lived in a larger town (until I think about the traffic jams) . We don't have any place that could compare to the environment that you had (and great company helps too, of course).
