What are you smoking in June

Another muggy hot day here in the Nation's Capitol. However it is Friday and I have the weekend off so I grabbed a Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Churchill. I washed it down with a Hop-ocalyse Inda Pale Ale. This was a great combination because the IPA was full bodied. I knew I was drinking an ale. Or two...

For the fans of ale, this is from a small brewery in Frederick MD, called The Clay Pipe Brewing Company.

I almost bought Hop-Ocalypse last night, but went with Magic Hat Hocus Pocus instead.

On Friday night/Saturday morning, I smoked a Perdomo Lot 23 Churchill. It was spicy and strong, gave me a headache so bad that I had to put it down after a little past half way, poped two 500 mg Tylenol and went to bed. (I usually smoke late at night after my wife and kids went to bed.)

I am smoking a Ramon Allones Ultimo. It is very smooth and tasty with a subtle sweetness.

I smoked a few of Ramon Allones about a year and a half to two years ago, then it disappeared from the market. During this time, most internet sites did not have boxes, only 5-packs. Apparently, the manufacturer was re-packaging this brand from 25-count to 20. I bought a box of Ramon Allones on 6/7/06 after it was re-lease.

I will definitely buy another box after I finished my current stash, or if I can find a good deal, whichever comes first.

So far, for June it's been, a bowl of Rattray's #7 and a bowl of Frog Morton "On the Town."

Good stuff, both.

Yet another hot day in the DC area. I grabbed a very tasty lager from Poland, or two. It was a Zywiec. Very good and light for a hot day. So... what cigar to have with it?? Nothing that would overpower the beer, so I grabbed my standby, a Don Diego corona. Nice and medium/mild. A very good pairing.
