Rocky Patel Vintage 1999

Ok so I went to my local cigar shop today and picked up a few cigars and the owner gave me a rocky patel vintage 1999 perfecto. This probably sounds like such a stupid question but how do I light the end? It's pretty much closed but there is a little bit open. Would I light it like any other cigar?

P.S. - Thanks Iceman for the suggestion of the RP vintage 1992's and the La Aroma De Cuba. They're amazing. Just wish I could afford to smoke the RP vintage 1992 more often lol. My pockets aren't that deep lol.

I saw an interesting answer to the same question:

"Punch-cut the center of the perfecto and light both ends."

If you like the Vintage 1992, you will like the Vintage 1990 as well.

The Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 and 1992 can be had for about $3 each on Cigarbid.com.

Caution: Cigarbid.com is very addictive.

I've never tried the two end smoke thing...might have to do that some day...nah...too much work...as for the fire VS mouth end, the band is wrapped so the top is facing to the end you toke, the bottom is the end you light...

Glad to help Dusty. Ram is correct about C-Bid. The 1992s, as well as anything else there, is a lot more affordable.

You may want to try the REO and VIBE. They are made by RP and have that great taste the Vintage line has.

I've got some Vibes sitting in the humidor that I'm thinking of bringing with me for the "Lost Weekend Plus" AKA the CR Herf....

Ok so I went back today and apperantly did somethin' right because I got some free stuff. The owner is a really nice guy lol. He gave me one of those "x-treme" travel humidors and three cigars of my choice (I think he was smoking somethin other than a cigar). Anyway I had to leave the travel humidor in my truck for about 30 to 45 minutes and my truck got kinda hot. I was wondering how bad will this affect my cigars? Also does anybody know if these travel humidors are any good?

Sorry for the terrible pictures. It's a Rocky Patel Vintage '92 and a vintage '99 and I dont exactly remember the other (The owners suggestion) its a maduro I'll edit this later to let yall know.

Dusty, I've got that exact same Extreme cigar case, I love it! As long as it wasn't in direct sunlight, I'd bet the cigars are just fine. Good find!

I use one of those cases a lot, like when I go out to drink and play in "The District" in Rock Island. Unless you left them in sun for days you should be okay. The seal is great and if you put a few drop of distilled water in the sponge you can keep your stogies going for a long weekend without any worries.
