First ISOM

Well, just finished off my first ISOM ever a few minutes ago. It was a Siglo IV purchased as part of a fiver. I gotta tell ya brothers and sisters, this may have not been a good idea. I have been to the edge and stood and looked down. If this was any indication as to the quality and pleasure of all ISOM's, I'm in serious trouble.

You must have had an off stick. Most Habanos are terrible. Don't waste your time. I have been attempting to destroy every Habano, one by one, to prevent them from falling into the hands of unsuspecting individuals such as yourself.

Print this post and save it for one year from today. Then one year from now open it read and laugh at yourself for buying a 2-300 count humdior and filling it with thousands of dollars worth of cigars.

Good Luck buddy!

Oh you done did it now. Your is serious trouble. Cut those credit cards up. Stop reading the forum, and give all the good ones away. Stick to what you see at gas stations and you might have money to retire with one day.

That's actually sound advice, but not very fun.

Re: First ISOM

I have yet to venture down that road. Frankly I'm an addictive person. If I get started I'll never stop. I actually talked to a friend that works at a B&M and said he'd order some for me... He was smoking a Monte 2 Habano last night...

Bastard.

Of course the wife smoked a churchill of some sort last night and didn't mind it. Perhaps her and I can pool funds. Hell. She already drinks all of my Scotch. Why not get her to raid the humi.

Re: First ISOM

Take it from me. Forget the experience. don't think about it. Pretend it never happened. I smoked my first ISOM in January and now working on my 1st 100 humidor with nothing but ISOMs. Learn from my mistakes. Run, don't look back. It's to later for me. Save yourself. Best thing for you to do is send me the other 4 you have left.

Re: First ISOM

Well there is one word to describe this and that word is that you are ...DOOMED! No actually, you have just tasted what a real cigar is supposed to taste like. Just don't spend too long looking at the pictures in the gallery.........they can't be good for your financial health.

"It goes on and on and on, Heaven and Hell "

Re: First ISOM

A couple of pieces of advice:

Get a separate credit card with a limit that you're comfortable maxing out. You will max it out. Seriously.

Encourage the wife to pursue an expensive hobby that will leave her with feelings of guilt. This will predispose her to be relieved at the amount of money you're spending, and may prevent divorce or bobbit-like actions

If you have children, start pushing the military idea. The GI bill may be their only hope.

Please consider eschewing the term ISOM. It gets on many bald people's nerves, and is really unnecessarily 'cute' - Cuban cigars is just fine.

Enjoy the freefall. If you start to feel guilty, just go to Klugs user profile and click "find all threads started by..." - this will make you feel remarkably sane and frugal.

It's all over now.
