Can you guys play nice, please, so Stan can get back to work.

Thank you.

I think some valid points have been made. Let's please dispense with the personal attacks - everybody. You all know who you are so I need not mention names.

We're all on the same team over here, ok?

Over the last months I have received and published several press releases about different cigar manufacturers and retailers, and a sheriff - sending cigars to the troops.

On the one hand, how could anyone not think these are nice gestures? Of course they are.

Honestly though, on the other hand, it is also obvious that it makes for some good "warm & fuzzy" publicity, which is always in the back of my mind when I get these news releases.

I have received so many of them that I actually skipped publishing some as it was just getting old to me and seemed like everyone was just jumping on the "Oooh look at me and how warm and fuzzy I am!" bandwagon.

Of course, the efforts of this thread, initiated by JAX are purely noble and I for one do appreciate it. I also appreciate the efforts by redmondp and everybody else to make sure this effort has real results instead of bullshit results.

In case anyone is interested, here are links to some of the "Cigars for Troops" stories.

As you can see, there is one every month. I skipped the stories in Jan and Feb when I was tired of them. I also skipped one last month from a retailer.

Anyone want to check on all of these to see where they ended up?

They will probably crap in their pants if redmondp shows up to ask. LOL. Joking. Don't get mad Patrick.

If one of you guys knows "somebody" that can make this happen, I'd rather do it that way. Win-win, right?
Otherwise, we could use one of the links, etc. Just seems we have enough military guys/former military guys here that know somebody to make it a tad more personal?

I appreciate EVERYONE's opinion on this. I asked for thoughts good, bad, or indifferant.

Bob and I were just discussing this over the weekend and I thought it would be worth while to shake the tree here and see what fell.

I probably should of been more careful.

Absolutely Stan!

I'm game if folks are still onboard with the idea.........

Looks like we're gonna shoot for "personalized" bombing runs?
