Whatever...snob!! I see your point totally & it makes sense. Maybe I am just weird. I am also about the only person at work that doesn't want a new school. I like the old building, to me it has character (built in 1921). So yeah...I guess I am weird

If there is no band, how do you know which is which?

Don't know why this came to me now, but this reminds me of a small part in a Sherlock Holmes story.

Holmes is confronting some Bohemian villain in his parlor who marries women and then kills them off for money.

The villain cooly lights a cigar while telling Holmes there is nothing he can do to stop an upcoming marriage from happening.

As a retort, Holmes tells him that if he continues to light his cigars with the bands still on them, British society will consider him an uncouth bounder!

Perhaps there was some kind of "cigar band" etiquette in the Victorian age?

At any rate, I would probably take those house brand bands off.

The ones I don't care for are the East India Company (it says "company" on the box, but "corporation" on the bands) cigars from the Gurkha. They have Hansiota's signature on them. It is a very large and long band and it just looks...cheap somehow.

The Cu Avana maybe the ugliest of all... only because they try to fancy.

Barbarian gifted me two of those, smoked one, saving the other for a later day.

Now, that's not fair to compare between these two. While Don Gabriel cigars do not have bands on all cigars, they were made into different sizes/shapes. Cigar.com house brands are made into same exact sizes, although different shapes. That would confused the heck out of me.

not to stray off but i think rocky patel could do a little something with his bands as well. they are all the same flat bands with an extra smaller one or something and the colors and labels changed. wtf?

So.... at least they have pretty good house blends. Not even sure what the purple was.... might even be a Conneticut,,,,,,, but it was very good!

I'll never buy them .... sad..... inless they change the bands. But who ever shared these with me.... thank you. They really are top notch - uglyassbandedcigars - and I did enjoy them.......

Here is what Cigar.com says about the purple label

The Cigar.com Purple Label is a smooth and extraordinary mild to medium-bodied blend that features a beautiful Connecticut wrapper that rivals any high priced premium on the market.

The Purple label is a well-balanced cigar with wood and nut flavors foot to nub and a lingering moderate finish.

Soo you are riiiiiight.

I've had the Corojo and the Cuban labels and they were both pretty good.. thanks Andy!
