UGLY......as BUTT .... Cigars Bands!

I really enjoy the Cigar.com mag.... I get at my house.... They eve have some of the better still photography.....
but....

HOW FREAKING BORING and BLAND..... are their house blends "bands"....!!!!

Who was the marketing GENUIS..... over there that said ... "Hay, lets go with plain colors to lable our fine cigars with simple lines around the bands and make them as plain as ever! And they will be CHEAP blands to help the bottom line...... "

I would rather they ship them and even market them WITHOUT BANDS.... then send these out. I have had these three in my humidor for quite some time. I never open my hummie and say.... "Oh, that plain white boring banded one looks so good... I'll try that next"......

I know there are other fine cigars with simple bands.... like Padron..... Monty.... but at least they have a LITTLE shape to them....

Change the band.... add a little something.... and their sales would increase.

IMHO.....

OH.... and I wanted to use a cheap back-drop for these to really go well with the bands, so I walked to the garage and grabbed an old hand saw..... To two photos..... here ya go....

Funny post!

I do agree that those are some pretty plain bands.
The Cameroon looks a little Christmas-ey .

I agree with that statement as well.
I guess I would rather have a bland band than a bland cigar.
I have had some other companies house brands and they had pretty nice looking bands but the taste of the cigars made me want to .

I have to also agree. I really like some of their house blends.

Maybe they were trying for the simple but eliquent approach.

I wouldn't know if these are very good or not..... they sit around waiting....

My point is.... For such a nice cigar distributor.... whoever is in charge of marketing thier house blend..... has thier head up thier ass.

That's all......

I've always thought the bands were ugly too. I had a blue label, it wasn't too shabby.

What's all the hub-bub about? The bands adequately announce "Type Cigar" from "Cigar.com". I'd say it's pretty straight forward.

I mean honestly, ever smoked a cigar and wondered "mmmm, where might I find another one of these?"...these house cigars (very tasty I might add)...tell ya exactly where to get more.

I have to agree with cycle tonight !!! But I will take it one step further, somtimes i try a cigar based on nothing except apprance. Im not saying it must be expensive looking, but somtimes Ill just try a cigar if it has a cool band on it to see if it is any good. Cigar.com makes some good private labels but I agree the bands could use some work

I, as many of you guys are aware, am a big fan of the Cuban, Corojo, & Brazillian Cigar.com cigars. I will be honest, though, I actually like the bands. I see your point CM, but I gotta admit, I like the simplicity of the bands. I am glad they keep the bands simple & keep the prices low!!

You just made my point. Thanks,,,,,,

I still have no desire to smoke these........

"Oh yeah.... yummy,,,,, look at that boring WHITE band.... dot com!!!! I think I'll take them to a herf and share them with everyone, so they know what a great smoke this is and that I got them for 59 cents a piece."
