I wrote LAF and here is what I got back
Stacey,
Thank you for your email and your interest. We were a member of Onward Austin – a coalition of 15 groups who supported the ballot initiative, including the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association, and others. There is more information on the coalition website –
www.onwardsuatin.org Lance was a member of the Onward Austin steering committee as well. The LAF did not financially contribute to the effort. We participated as a member of the Onward Austin coalition, but I believe most (if not all) of the money came from American Cancer Society.
Let me know if you need more information.
