Please explain.....
....why there are cigar reviews in the Cigar Forum section, and then there are some additional cigar reviews over there in the Cigar Reviews section. I don't understand.
Do you have to achieve some particular "rank" or "status" to enter reviews in the Cigar Review Section? (???)

The ones in the other section are the blind reviews that are done monthly.
The ones in the forum are ones that people have done on their own. |

I believe Kevin has cigar.com (a site sponsor) send out cigars with no bands to people Kevin trusts as reliable reviewers. They then smoke them and write a review according to the sticky in the review forum.

As Nick said, the reviews here on the forum are done by all of us, on any cigar we smoke.
The other one is done monthly by members on the board, coordinated by Big Daddy Kevin. They are blind reviews in that Kevin has X number of cigars sent to 5 pre-selected members, unbanded. The only thing we know is what order to smoke 'em in (Robusto, then Torp, then the Cool lookin' Maddy). Beyond that it's on us to describe everything about the stogie. If you're intersted in participating email (NOT PM) Kevin.... Edit: I'm a day late and a dollar short with this post....Nick already clarified...oh well.... ![]() |

HRPuffinStuff - You or anyone else reading this thread that wants to do cigar reviews, please email me at kevin@cigar-review.com expressing your interest and give me your full physical shipping address.
I do not know how soon I can get you in. It also depends on the amount of responses. Some guys might be sooner and some later. I try to randomly select people and take turns. Since we started doing this around October last year, we have had 2 - 3 guys that got free cigars and never turned in any reviews. Since I am so pressed for time, I have a one strike policy and you are out on this.

Since I kind of enjoy reviewing (cigars, beer) I tend to believe that I would never FAIL to turn in a review. Unless I got sick or something.
