So when Kevin was in Vegas I asked him to research what the hell exactly is going on with Dona Flor... I love the Dona Flor Selecao but apparently you cannot get them anymore due to some type of litigation going on between the distributor and manufacturer.... soooooooooo he emails me and asks for my address so he could get me a little sumthin sumthin... well that sumthin sumthin showed up today..
[size=7]BEHOLD THE MONTE PASCOAL[/size]   These are made completely from Brazilian Mata Fina and Mata Norte tobaccos. I am smoking one of the belicoso (torpedos) right now. Here are my thoughts thus far. Lots of flavor, awesome construction with a nice draw and a perfect burn. It is burning a little hot, I think they are a little dry from their journey from Miami to Marysville so I will let them sit and probably do a review on it next weekend. They come in a Belicoso 52x5 a Robusto 50x 4 7/8 and a Corona 42 x 5 5/8 Thank you Kevin and Gary for talking to the guys at Mata Fina Imports and thank you Mata Fina Imports for being generous enough to send me a sampler of several of each vitola. |

Stuff like that is why I love this hobby...even the guys making the smokes are (mostly anyhow hehe) genuine good people. Very cool!
