Anyone else have trouble keeping Maddys lit?

Or is it just me? I find that maduras in general seem to want to go out more than other cigar types. Maybe because they have a higher oil content? Any thoughts?

I don't recall having any specific problems with Maddy's. Usually it's extremely humid outside, or the stick was over humified a bit.

If you continue to have problems, try dry boxing the smoke. Place the stogie in an unused, unseasoned humi or cigar box for an hour or more to let the stick dry out a bit.

Only if they are a little over humidified.

+1 on what Jax said about dry boxing.

They're pretty much what I usually smoke, and the only problem I've had is w/ over-humidification. Good luck.

Definitely box dry cigars (maduro and natural) if you experience burn issue, i.e. kept going out. Or, as suggested above, store cigars at around 65% humidity. Some guys will tell you store maduro cigars in a separate humi at low 60% humidity. This will significantly improve burn.

If cigars are over humidified, I would say box dry them 2-3 days before smoking.
