Unhappy Nat Sherman

I smoked my first Nat Sherman stick about a week ago. I have had this cigar for at least a year in sometimes less than ideal conditions. I was surprised at how strong and even harsh it was. I was almost as though the draw was too easy. Can a cigar go bad? It wasn't too dry at the time I smoked it. I have enjoyed many of the N.S. pipe tobacco blends over the years and I was quite suprised how harsh this stick was. It was a small cigar, maybe one size down from a corona if that makes any difference. Any thoughts on my experience?

Re: Nat Sherman

iv only had nat sherman cigarilo's, and i found they were pretty good. Typically cigars only get better with age. But perhaps that one was a bad one which somtiimes hapens with all brands. No worries man we'v all had it try somthing else. As for the harshness it somtimes depends on the wrapper.

Re: Nat Sherman

i was just about to start a thread on Nat. im usually far from impressed with his smokes (i find alot of them to be very boring and plain aghmlikemacanudoaghm)

so anyway i was gifted this 'glorified black & mild' the Navigator, which is the worlds last full-filler hand made 'gar w/ a tip. i was imprssed! decent flavor, great construction. there a little hard to find but 70 bucks got me 4 six packs. not bad, ill be bombing some off soon

Re: Nat Sherman

If the draw was too easy it may have been burning hot, particularly if the cigar itself wasn't properly humidified and was dry prior to smoking, which could result in harshness. When I find cigars rolled somewhat loosely or with too easy a draw, I have to force myself to smoke it slowly to prevent it from getting too hot.
