C'Mon guys! If we can agree that we're all adults here, can we give this a chance? Jon has been nothing but forthright in my conversation with him and has some fantastic ideas, with totally listening to our concerns, many of which you have brought up in this thread. Have you considered that this may be a win-win? |

Stan, I understand what you're saying. I've been through this before on another board I loved...it went badly, although it took a while to realize how badly. I admit that leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth. I AM willing to give Jon a chance though. I will be here unless/until my home changes to the point that I can't take it. There's been no actual change yet, so there's not reason for me to leave. I'm HOPING to like the changes...so I guess I'd say I'm very cautiously optimistic.

Man, I can't BELIEVE this! This is the THIRD website I've been on that's going belly-up due to a change in ownership or a change in direction, whether real or perceived, in the past TWO YEARS. Can't we all just hang around and see if this "clubhouse" thing works out OK? Maybe the guys in the OTHER "clubhouses" are just as worried about US intruding into their little groups as we are worried about THEM intruding into OURS.
Hey, I've hardly even gotten to "know" you guys, so you can tell me to STFU if you want to. But from what I've seen so far, you have a GOOD THING here, a community of similarly-minded dudes (with obvious and expected differences) that share a common INTEREST. And the whole "bombing" thing. I thought that was a little "odd" when I first got here, but now that I have dozens and dozens of cigars, I UNDERSTAND why you would choose to SHARE cigars with your buddies. Now when I get some Maduros, I think "I bet acesfull would really enjoy one of these sticks, maybe more than I do". I've just BEGUN to grasp the concept of the "BOTL" and now you're letting it fall apart. Can't you guys just give this a TRY? It would SUCK to lose ANYONE.
