That would fall under public indecency or public nudity. Completely different situation. Now if they made laws against public smoking across the board, that would be a different story.

That's cuz your such a sweetheart
Because the amount of "pollution" a cigar, cigarette produces is minimal compared to things we use. So if you are looking at an impact on the environment standpoint its just ridiculous.

And personally, I dont care if people **** in public. I'd just point and laugh like I do when I see dog's doing it. Or the monkeys at the zoo

Legalize the Mary Jane, and do me a favor... TAX THE EVERY LIVING SHIT OUT OF IT!

Then lower the cigarette tax and leave the cigar tax alone

It is my strong opinion that smoking should not be banned in public outdoor places, but at the same time people should exercise some judgement and consideration. Smoke at the park? Sure. Smoke near the playground? Not so much.

If I am somewhere like a public park I will generally find a spot away from others to enjoy my pipe/cigar. That way others can steer clear of me if they wish to. I would not plop myself down on a bench near others and light up. Common courtesy.

On the other hand, I dearly wish I could enjoy a cigar at a baseball game...

This brings up another problem. What if they're ugly? You can't drink it away cuz it's illegal to drink while walking down the sidewalk where I live. The two guys with badges who gave me a ride in their car told me that last year. They didn't even offer me candy.

If the baseball game had it's own smoking section would you be ok with that?

I hear ya but this is exactly why most places don't allow us to smoke in public - because unfortunately we're grouped in with the cig smokers and not too many of them 'excercise some judgement and consideration' and most I know lack "common courtesy".

No offense to any cig smokers here....

I totally agree, I am a cig smoker and I purposely avoid other people when I'm smoking outside...But what drives me freakin' nuts about cig smokers is the damned cigarette butts...I'd rather put that stinky thing in my pocket and walk around with it than throw it on the ground....it's appalling.

Guys like us are too far and few between.

I quit smoking cigs a few years ago, but even then I tried to be considerate. I'd never smoked near an entrance of any establishment, my butts NEVER, EVER found their way on the ground, and I avoided (whenever possible) smoking within eye sight of children. Didn't want to influence them

Unfortunately I've seen too many folks not have a care in the world for anyone but themselves.

If I found my way to a properly designated smoking area than God help the non-smoker who came up to lecture me. Let's just say the non-smoker generally left the discussion wondering why in fact they had been born.

I'd love it if the ballpark had a smoking section. The Class-A park I frequent does actually have a designated smoking area... the concourse.
