Camacho Coyolar Puro

Did a quick impulse purchase off C-Bid. I think it was probably a good one, but since I haven't actually smoked them myself just wanted some input. I did a quick google of reviews for the Camacho Coyolar Puro and all looked solid. Any of you guys smoked them? I know they are touted as being relatively full bodied. Mainly wanted to know how they compare to the Corojo and Corojo Limted that I love. Thanks.

Ran across this in the archives. No one with first hand experience? The profile sounds like one to put up and enjoy every so often as it evolves in the humi.

Sorry man, haven't had these particular ones but the other Camacho cigars I've smoked were great, just not my thing.

I tried one in a torp maddy (from the local BM) and it was solid. Not as strong (spicy?) IMO as the triple corojo I got from Acesfull, but very good. I put it on my list, along w/ the triple as cigars to have a fiver of - to have a smoke when I'm in the mood for something that begs for your attention. It's one of the few "full-bodied, full-flavored" cigars that I've tried that are up to snuff in that category.

I have smoked several of these in different sizes...Wilsondude was correct...be prepared for a full strength, full flavor cigar. It's a pretty good stick in my opinion. There is one guy at the local store that swears by them...but then he is a big Joya de Nic fan, so suffice it to say he likes a strong stick.

Cool beans. Apparently my tastes are migrating in that direction as well as I love the JDN Antano 1970. Looking forward to trying these. Like I said impulse purchase when I saw them closing in on end of bid and still in the $50's. Got 'em for $61 for the 25 box. Thanks guys.

There are a boatload of sticks that I've enjoyed while doing various activities from reading to working to playing golf, but very few that just get my attention and make me want to have a sit, with three fingers of scotch, and enjoy (by myself).

Who's "chisel"? I've got some of the VS Extreme chisel's, but I got a notion you're talking about someone else's.

I am referring to the La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel.

Strongest stick I have ever smoked.

How's the flavor profile on that one? Strong just for being strong doesn't appeal to me any more than hot just for being hot does in pepper sauces.

I think all of the LFD's are pretty well balanced cigars. I prefer the Ligero (single Ligero) as opposed to the Double or Triple Ligero in the LFD...but like I said, they all seem pretty well balance between bang and taste.

As for taste I believe you will see many transitions starting with a very noticeable Pepper, then spice, and some sweetness even. But FOR SURE, you will be pulling large volumes of smoke.

I tell you what, my local has an excellent selection of LFD's...when we meet on Dec 3rd, I will have a few for you to try, including The Chisel if they have it.
