Winter is kinda tough. It does force me to walk more often, which is good. Then again, trudging through snow at a brisk pace is not exactly the ideal way to enjoy a cigar...

I also tend to pick up my pipes a little more in the winter. Not sure why. Maybe it has something to do with being able to have a warm bowl in my hand!

I dont smoke out in the cold period....

I have a smoking room at home, this month and part of next month I'm in a smoking hotel room. Then I'm off to Iraq where I will probably smoke a pipe for a month or two till it warms up.

Me and cold dont get along. Anyone who knows anything about me know this.

Sometimes i definitely think its not worth it to be freezing in the garage just to smoke a cigar. But ya know, you gotta do what you got to do. So i just brave the cold in the garage a couple times a week, and its not that bad when i have a couple of layers on, and a nice hot cup of coffee at my side.

But i would go to the local B&M but it closes at seven, and i like to smoke late. Like 10:00+.

I don't smoke alot of cigars during this time of the year. Despite being in Florida, I'm in Northern Florida and IT DOES GET A TAD COLD here for part of the year.

When I do smoke I'll do so in the garage (with wifey permission) or worse case out on my deck (suck it up and deal with hit). If I'm really lucky I'll get paroled so I can hit the local B&M.

I find cigars don't react well with cold weather and it's sometimes just not worth it.

cold smoking

walmart has an electric heater for 29.00. so what i do sometimes is go into the garage and plug the heater up for about 20 ro 30 min prior to lighting up, so by the time i get in there the temp is just right. sometimes i still need a small jacket with bailey's on ice

my cigar consumption has gone down quite a bit. in the summer i would look forward to a cold beer and a cigar every night. now its a twice a week event with litterally no beer consumption. i heat my garage with a kerosene heater. it takes about 15 minutes to get it to 60 degrees or so from a starting point of 25-30 deg. not TOO bad...i do want a bigger heater though. now i dont waste my time on sub par smokes. because that $5 stick is costing a lot more with the extra cost of kerosene for and hour at a time. NO FUMA's my tinderbox in peoria closed up, and there arent any B and M's i can think of around here. i need to shack up with randomhero so i will be close to CI

It was a balmy 38 degrees on my way home tonight, so I fired up the grill and cooked a couple of steaks. Then I had an after dinner cigar in my "smoke hut". Pretty comfortable with the propane heater. I did make the concession of putting on some wool socks and my flannel lined jeans.

p.s. Why are guys from NC and FL even responding to this thread? They don't know what cold weather smoking is!

Cold weather = sucks ass. I've lived in CO 3 times now and I hate snow. I don't ski or anything. I need to move but have a damn good job and can't find a decent transfer. I need a beach bad.

Man it gets down to about 28 or so during the night here in NC. A little cold for my taste.
