I bought a firepit and was smoking outside until it started getting below 45*. At that point, it was just too cold.

60* is SO far from cold. Actually, thats like the perfect night time temp.

OK, I decided to stop whimpering like a damn baby and go out in my breezeway last night and smoke a cigar.

I mean, I've lived in Wisconsin for 49 years. It's not like I'm unfamiliar with cold. In my younger days, I was a hard-core ice fisherman. I've stood out on a frozen lake (no shanty), from dawn 'til dusk, in -10 to -25 degree weather (no, I'm not kidding) MANY times.

So, I put my double insulated coveralls on and sat out there in the 20 degree cold and smoked me a cigar.

I was warm.

It still sucked.

Surely a HUGE factor of the joy of smoking cigars is THE AIR YOU DRAW THROUGH THE CIGAR. I mean, if the air you draw through the cigar smells like shit, the cigar is going to taste like shit, no? That cold air just seems to make the cigar WAY more harsh and REALLY diminishes the joy of smoking, for me. Wonder why I haven't been posting my wondrous reviews of all kinda deeply complex and glorious cigars I'm smoking?

BECAUSE IT AIN'T HAPPENING.

Oh well, I'll just stock up the humi and wait for spring.

HR - Why not get a little heater for out there in the breezeway just for when you smoke? If it's not large, it shouldn't take a whole lot to get it up to a reasonable temp to allow you to enjoy a smoke.

Yes, I think for Christmas I might buy me an electric heater.

Or I can just bring one home from up at the cabin.

BUT THEN I WOULDN'T HAVE NUTHIN' TO COMPLAIN ABOUT.

LMAO! Like I said man, I got my kero-heater for like $50 at Lowes, but that was on clearance at the end of Spring. Best $50 I've ever spent...cuz the closest B&M for me to go to for a smoke is 30miles away.

Mine doesn't smell at all 5 minutes after I light it...I usually let it go for 10-15 minutes before going down for a smoke anyhow so it warms the basement up a bit before I kick the exhaust fan on.

My exhaust fan is one of those dual 10" fans for a window. There is/was a full-size window that I took out, put the fan at the top and boarded up the area below it as the window was junk already. Usually, that fan is enough until I get maybe 5-6 guys smoking cigars down there

My avatar is a good representation of how I feel at work from day to day

I'm considering getting a propane patio heater. Seem to go for around $200. May be worth it.

Smoking outside whenit's cold, as stated here SUCKS!

I haven't bought the fire pit I want for my deck, so if/when I smoke outside (reference my above post...) it's a shocker.

I do light up when it snows and I'm out shoveling or the kids are playing, but my lunchtime smokes are pretty much gone until spring..
