Sounds about right. I guess they come in white and silver tubes. On that authentic cuban site it has them in the silver and a guy that was in the shop whipped one out that was in that silver tube as well.

Might be a newer or older cigar. If you go on the habanos website, the tubes are white. http://www.habanos.com/vitolario.aspx?lang=en

Just click the RyJ logo, it will show ALL available cigars.

Could also be that the habanos site isn't up-to-date.

You worry is reasonable and understandable. I would guess the vendor did not keep the cigar properly humidified, and given the location you are now, I would not be surpirsed that it may be a little dry.
