Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970

Tonight I am smoking my first Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970. To date, I believe this is the best cigar I have ever smoked. I think I have finally found a cigar that appeals specifically to my palette. Sure, I also enjoy the La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero, and La Gloria Cubana Serie R, but the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 is going to be my go to cigar. One problem, I read that the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 is going to be discontinued and replaced by the Casa Magna? Can someone please confirm or deny this. I like the Casa Magna, but think the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 is a getter cigar.

Cigar Man Andy is a big Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 fan, maybe he can comment on the subject..........

They are not getting discontinued as of yet. The Casa Magna, Which I am smoking while I type, is the replacement for JdNA with SAG. They were the distributors of the JdNA until Drew Estates took them over. SAG - Casa Magna, Drew Estates - Joya de Nicaragua Antano. By the way. The best price for JdNA is
. I won't mention their name, but I gave you a link.

Enjoy.

P.S.
I smoke a JdNA Belicoso earlier. Yum.

Re: Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970

Thank you! Actually, you are the reason I tried the JdNA. I have read many of your post on different cigars, and you have been spot on. I seem to like many of the cigars you have recommended including the Gran Habano Corojo #5. Do you have any other recommendations? I understand you smoke a lot of Opus X as well. I have yet to smoke a Opus X, but believe I will also enjoy that cigar too. The Opus X is a little rich for my blood as of now. I am afraid once I smoke one, I will be hooked.......

Wow, that place had an incredible price on the lancero boxes...of course there's no chance they'd have them in stock.

Wait a little bit and they'll have them back in stock. I've already ordered 3 boxes of the Belicoso. Probably gonna finish it off with a box of Grand Robusto and Lancero

Re: Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970

I am going to buy a box of the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 Magnum 660, and Belicoso. I bought another Magnum 660 today, but can't decide if I should smoke the 660 or a Casa Magna tonight.

The link mentioned above is the cheapest I have found for just about any brand, provided they have it, that is the problem. For most the popular stuff, they are always out of it.

Re: Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970

I always have at least 2 boxes of the JdN Antano Robusto Grande on hands at all times. This cigar was one of my top 5 for 2008. Awesome smoke IMHO.

I know Andy is a huge fan of the Lanceros. I may have to give those a shot as well. I found the Machito to be quite the nice little cigar. Very good profile. The draw on mine was a bit tighter than I prefer.

How have you gents found the draw on the Lanceros to be?

Thanks!

Better and less problems than the Belicoso. You know that there is no such thing as a coincidence. I am smoking a JdNA at this moment.
By the way, if you like Lanceros, try these. They are all great.

Oliva Serie V
Gran Habano Corojo #5
Cubau
Torano Maduro
Don Pepin Garcia My Father No. 4
Opus Petit Lancero and of coarse
JdNA 1970
