Looking for some ideas

My brother is a fan of the H Upmann Cedar Aged Cameroon (no particular size). Due to various reasons I would like to try to find him something similar to that cigar. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance brothers.

Hi! I've had the Upmann Cameroon and it is very good. One that I think would be close is the Carlos Torano 1916 Cameroon. It too is cedar wrapped and has a nice sweet cameroon flavor. I like the churchill size the best. The corona is very nice as well.

Camaco Select (Cameroon)

I like the H. Upmann too. Excellent cigar & priced right.
My favorite Cameroon, which I never see in B&M cigar stores, is the
Camacho Select. It's stronger than the Upmann but not harsh.

I just remembered another good one. The A. Fuente Don Carlos. I'll send an email to my buddy. He loves Cameroon wrapped cigars. I know he likes the Perdomo Reserve Cameroon but I find them a bit harsh. I think it's discontinued but there are still some around on the internet. For a budget stick try the Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend but beware, I bought a bundle quite awhile ago & had burn issues. After a year or more rest in my humi @ 66% r/h they're now smoking pretty good.

What do you guys think about the H. Upmann Cabinet Seleccion? I always enjoyed that cigar in the toro size and they carry it at the local B&M by my house. I was annoyed to find out that they have them at the B&M by my school... I've only found them one place online too and they were a bit out of my price range to buy an entire box.

No. They are both cedar wrapped but they are two very different cigars. The Cabinet Seleccion has a Connectict shade wrapper from Ecuador. As a matter of fact, I am not a big Cameroon fan, but I love the H Upmann Vintage Cameroon (Figurado). I have smokes the Cameroon wrapped RP, Torano, CAO L’Anniversaire & the Cx2, La Flor Dominicana, Indian Tabac Legend, and none of them came close, the AF Don Carlos is the ONLY cigar that comes close in flavor to them.

Remember that the only thing they have in common is the Cameroon wrapper. And like I said, I am not a big fan of Cameroon except for the Upmann and Don Carlos.

Thanks a lot. Now I have to smoke one.

PS Here is a picture of both.

Re: Looking for some ideas

Black Pearl Morado is a pretty exceptional cigar(at least within the realm of milder cammies), and wrapped in cedar with a pretty purple ribbon at tyhe bottom.

Re: Looking for some ideas

Excalibur 1066 is a great cameroon. The Torano 1916 would have been my other suggestion.
