Metropolitan Cigar Society...
Guys... Don't know if you're familiar with it... But I'm a proud member of probably the finest private cigar club in the country.
The Metropolitan Cigar Society is in northern New Jersey. After 15 years of their once a month dinners at the Brownstone Restaurant in Patterson, NJ, the smoking laws shut down the club. But - a group of members pooled their money and resources to create a spectacular private men's club, about a half an hour outside of Manhattan. A little over two years ago they took 5,500 sq ft empty space in an industrial park and built it out themselves. The layout is beautiful with poker tables, pool table, two big screen tv's, and a magnificent dining room for our once a month dinners. The dinners always feature a cigar company that gives out plethora of goodies. This month my friends from Camacho came up from Miami just to do the dinner. We also have wine and whiskey companies do tastings and often some special guests show up as well. Lew Rothman has been particularly generous to the club. At our Christmas party we always honor a group of local marines who have done several tours of Iraq and the Middle East, and Lew, a proud ex-marine, himself, announced during dinner that he was donating 1,000 boxes of cigars to the soldiers in Irag. At the January dinner I invited my friend Larry Winget. He's a NY Times Best Selling author and speaker who was in NY on his new book tour of TV radio stations. Larry hung all night, autographed some books and smoked a lot of gars. We had Rocky Patel last fall, and the guy stayed til like 3am, playing poker and dominoes with the guys. It's a very special place and my only true refuge from the winter's cold and my nagging wife! Check it out at the website. The pictures are amazing but so much more in person. If you are EVER in the NY area you can come to check it out for sure. You can contact me personally if you want any more info. You may have seen... We did a story in Cigar Magazine about the club, several issues ago. The Metropolitan Society Cigar Club A VERY Private Club |

Re: Metropolitan Cigar Society...
Very nice looking club Tommy! I will actually be in NYC in May. My friend doesn't have a car, so I'm not sure I could make it out there. Looks like it would be a good time though.
