Re: After dinner cigar preference

Something heavier if it's a heavy meal. If I'm eating fish or poultry, I'll stick with something more medium. But if there is something that just catches my eye when I open the humidor then all bets are off.

Just whatever with me. Usually a stronger Cuban these days, like a Le Hoyo des Dieux, a Punch Royal Selection No. 11, a Bolivar Corona Extra, a Romeo y Julieta Cazadore or some Partagas if I have something that fits the bill. If not, I'll go for a larger Cuban, like an H. Upmann Magnum 50 or a Punch Double Corona. If I don't feel like a Cuban, then I go for a stronger non-Cuban like a Pepin or a Tatuaje.

After a good meal I always reach for a fuller smoke like the ones listed Sancho Panza Super Fuerte, Gran Habano Corojo, LGC, Indian Tabac Fire,El Rico Habano Maduro and the list could go on and on.

Re: After dinner cigar preference

I really don't have a go to smoke per se. It depends a lot on what a had for dinner and how I feel, but I will have to say it would be something that is fuller in flavor/body i.e. LFD DL series, PAM to name a couple.

Re: After dinner cigar preference

I don't have a go to dinner smoke. I just grab what I'm in the mood for. For dinner I had a medium rare steak with a loaded baked potato. Tonight's smoke right now is a Oliva G Churchill, and then later on I will smoke a Joya De Nic Antano 1970 Magnum 660.

Whatever I'm in the mood for...although during the summer, there's nothing I like better than eating a good meal, grabbing a nice Churchill, and sitting on the porch puffing away into the evening. Nothing beats those bigger size smokes when it comes to unwinding at the end of the day.

Amen to that. After a fairly hearty meal after a long day in good weather, it's nice to just relax for a while with a longer fuller smoke. In these winter months I'm sticking with more coronas, pretty much whatever catches my eye.

Whatever I'm in the mood for. It's like being a kid in a candy store as I'm staring at the humi trying to decide which candy to pick.

UGGH!!

You guys have given me a nice list of choices to try out.

That darn slope keeps getting steeper and I'm sliding down faster.

Not a particular cigar, but Squid® usually chooses a milder Connecticut wrapper stick for helping the dinner settle. I find myself with an Ashton quite often.
