This week I have had a chance to try the connie #9 and #30.

The #9 was a great even smoke that looked great and burned well. Tasted good too. For comparision I went to the b&m the same day and smoked an HDM rothschild (of which the #9 is the supposed second) and I have to say that the connie compared favorably. The difference was that the HDM tasted a little more coherent and finished for lack of better terms. The HDM also seemed to me to have a slightly greater range of taste. The connie though was a completely acceptable substitute and not at all an alternative that would make me feel deprived smoking it. Especially given the price

Hi,
I read the info on M.I.L.'s (Mother in Laws/Consuegra's) and promptly believed everything, so I orderd about $100 in all sizes. Am sitting on my deck this beautiful Tampa morning and I couldnt wait to age them in my humi and broke a torpedo out. I lit it and immediately embarked on a "holy grail" of wonderful tastes. I started looking for a special spot in my humi to covet these "holy cow/gadzooks/awesome/incredible" beauties. In fact, as soon as I finish this am off to order some more. Still have $150 left in my retirement account and what better place to invest! In my humble opinion, my best analysis would be.....BUY THEM!....PERIOD!

so much for the budget right
I am in very late on this thread but this is exactly me. I try these budget smokes and they are pretty good so I buy several bundles. I now have cigars out the ying-yang when I could have just smoked a few less cigars and had premium. Oh well, I am stocked up for when the taxes go to 1M%!:eeek:

maybe someone mentioned this but they are seconds and I am pretty sure it even says so on the outside of the bundle, HDM's Punch etc. This is not to say they are bad because they aren't, they are one of my favorite budget smokes. I don't think you always know what second you are getting though, which is kinda fun I think. It's like a grab bag only with good sticks.
