Mayorga Maduro Robusto

I picked these up for just around $2.oo each.

Upon, selecting it out of the humi, this box-pe since I ressed beauty was firm and upon lightly pinching it it sprang back into shape, was very firm but springy at the same time. The wrapper while very dark had just a smattering of very thin veins, a very smooth wrapper and the veins it had ran the length of this chocolaty looking cigar.

Once lit, this cigar started right off with a spicy, yet earthy taste... which hinted at a peppery and chocolaty taste. It burned very evenly and held a very long ash. Whil the cigar started out med./full as it got to the halfway point it became a very smooth but full tasting cigar.

At times I could detect a nutty and at times a coffee taste to it mixed in with the pepper and earthy flavor it started with but stronger on the finish.

For such an inexpensive cigar I would saay this one could easily become my everyday cigar just for the price alone...

I think what helped open it up from the beginning was I used a v-cutter on it that allowed it to draw more fully and allow more of the taste to come thru right away...

I definately suggest everyone to try this little beauty.

Jim, thanks for that as well! I found a review for these at Keepers of the flame and the pic they had was just luscious! Here is the url: Mayorga Maduro Robusto. Some cool info on the stick too!

I need to take a list of stick to tey with me to the B&M. I can never remember. Id di however go to the Tinderbox and spoke with Mike there. He also recommended the Padron 3000 which I bought and tried. Nice smoke. Im more into a little fuller bodied, but thi is a nice stick for a 45 minute stick.

If you liked the regular line and are a fan of full bodied smokes, try the High-Octane side of the line. They can be had for 3-4 bucks a piece, but they are great!

Those are excellent smokes. I bet I bought 3 boxes of those from JR's when they first came out. They used to have a woman who would roll that blend on the spot at Jr's and sell the fresh ones for 2 dollars a piece.

Mosaico

Mosaico....in all sizes are a definite bargain. From Famous Auctions, you can sually get a lot of 3 (60 or 75 cigars) for around $50 or 60. I have just bought a ton of these smokes and they all have been great! I think resting them for awhile will definitely improve their taste. In fact, that is what I am smoking right now...mild to medium right down to the nub.
Best,
Ylo2na
