OKAY! lol. The two of you make a great pair. Great looking kids. Great house. Great personalities. Great everything. Bravo! You're both hard-working and you've both done well for yourselves and each other! Good?

Nothing but love for you.

No doubt unfortunately this will be like the seatbelt law.
Starts in some states then expands to them all.
When places like Ireland & Scotland have bans it's just a matter of time.....

Here in NC my B&M owner is starting to get real nervous with the upcomming ballot here. I wish there was more to do.

I think too people need to be educated on who cigar smokers are. There is a stereotype that Cigar smokers are old fat men who chomp on disgusting robustos that stink. Cigar smokers are some of the nicest and most down to earth people that you meet. Whenever I'm in public and I light a cigar and I see someone who looks somewhat irritated I ask if I'm bothering them. I ask them sincerely. And offer to put it out if they don't like it, and go somewhere else. People really appreciate this and I think it does a lot of good for cigar smoking in general.

These smoking bans I feel are because of cigarette smoking. Although I like to smoke stogies I hate cigarettes and cigarette smoke. I especially don't like it when I eat. So I'm not opposed to the ban in restaurants. What gets me is that I've been in bars where everyone is smoking cigarettes and the place is full of smoke yet everyone gets a horrified look on their face when I pull out a longsdale.

I'm not going to get political but when someone grants power to politician to make a decision, it's kind of like inviting a vampire into one's house. And when a new law is passed you have a point where the supporters want to make it tougher and tougher, where do you stop?..

This is just the beginning of the "Anti's" efforts to "Save -us-from-ourselves".Their arguements are flimsy and as a last resort they bring out the"protect the children"mantra. Rob Reiner is head of 1 of these groups and is always trying to get some kind of tax passed to help supplement his group.Every beach city here in the L.A/O.C area[I'm not sure of San Diego/Ventura/Santa Barbara] has banned smoking on the beach.Reason: cigarette butts on the beach/ashes in the sand. Benefitsleaner air at the beach[guess they forgot about all of the cars driving to the beach],cleaner sand, less toxic waste in the water[runoff].More $$$ coming in on account of fines due to people ignoring the laws.
They{Anti's} are going after whomever they think they can get the most support against for..ie Tobacco companies, gun manufactures and soon enough again liquor/beer companies.People need to stand up for the Constitution or it's going to get whittled down to almost nothing. And as far as that age old argument "Our founding fathers didn't mean to include [insert issue here]",it has been OK for 230 yrs why change it now? Hey it originally didn't give women the right to vote yet we added that.Slavery was allowed ,yet we abolished that.Perhaps the "Founding Fathers" should be changed ,as our "politically correct-ness" to the "Founding Peoples" so as not to slight anyone lest their feelings get hurt.
And when the "Anti's" get their way[and they will] and tobacco taxes and liquor taxes are all gone from the budgets of states, who is going to take up the slack? Guess who? Property owners and higher state income taxes.Perhaps higher taxes on cars, forcing more people to use public transportation, higher taxes on electricity, water and food.Someone is going to have to pick up the slack when the "whipping-post boys" are gone.
And what can you do right now ? Don't do anything in those areas that have banned smoking. No shopping, eating buying of any goods or services.Bring your own drinks/food to the beach. When business's suffer than the cities will suffer. Hey,no smoking in bars= less drinking in bars= less people busted for DUI= less $$$ in court costs/fines= less money to the state[liquor license's etc] Fight the "Anti's" where it hurts ...in the wallet !
Sorry for the long winded rant. D
