La Finca Corona Rated Best In Taste-Cigar Mag.

I received my copy of the spring Cigar Magazine today and inside they rated the different Corona size cigars. Divided them up by strength, mild, mild to medium, medium to heavy and heavy. Not to my surprize, in the mild to medium category they rated the La Finca Corona as the best tasting along with the overall winner Montecristo No. 3. The La Finca was rated number 4 overall ahead of some cigars that coast four times as much.

I have been smoking the La Finca Fuma Largo and Figurados cigars ever since I picked up this very enjoyable hobby and really can't find a better tasting cigar in the mild to medium range at any price, at least the ones I have smoked so far.

On another note I dont take the "ratings" to serious. I determin myself how it stacks up. In cigars I always say one mans dog rocket is another mans Opus. It all a matter of what you like.I rember back in the boom when CA rated the La Fica I think in the 90 rangs and they jumped to around $100 a box. Just my , what ever thats worth. RJT

I've never smoked a La Finca, I suppose because of latent (teenage) memories of what a "Rat Fink" was.

And so... I'll try what the psychologists recommend in these cases... Reverse the lettering, and see what happens!!!

Let's see now... That would be a Acnif Al corona, wouldn't it?

La Fincas are a great smoke. My only complaint is they can be inconsistant. You can smoke one that is one of the best smokes you ever had, but then you will get some that are so so. All in all it is probably one of the best buys out there. The rating does not suprise me.

I've never had any of the La Fincas but I guess I'll have to give them a try.

Re: La Finca Corona Rated Best In Taste-Cigar Mag.

Sorry to bring this back up, but I was gifted a La Finca churchill by one of my customers today, and I was excited to see how inexpensive they are! I may have to get a couple boxes.. I think I will either smoke the one I have tommorow, or Wednesday.

Re: La Finca Corona Rated Best In Taste-Cigar Mag.

I would take Cigar Magazine's "reviews" more seriously if it wasn't an advertising arm of JR cigars....considering all they review is what JR sells and JR owns the mag....can we say conflict of interest? I knew ya could

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I won't be buying any cigars from JR's

Well, I have smoked the natural and maduro robustos and liked both.

And for $28.00 a box, they are well worth the price, IMO.
