I have a few special cigars waiting to be smoked with friends and family or to be paired with just the right drink. Honestly though I like to smoke what I have.

I have 4 Cohiba Habanos' that I have had probably too long. I acquired circa 1990. Supposedly they came 90 miles from Miami. I also have 4 Opus X Serie Robusto 1992. Released in 2006. No special occasion comes to mind as to why I'm saving these, but they are being saved for some special occasion down the road.

Cool

I have a box that I keep "special" sticks in that I only go into to add a new piece. Some are things like Opus or God of Fire and some are sticks that are just starting to grow a little ploom. Some cigars are meant to age a little -- like the most recent batches of La Aurora Cien Anos, which were sent out a little young.

I have earmarked the God of Fire for the next time the Redskins win a Super Bowl, but other than that I don't have a particular plan for my collectibles.

Go ahead and send me the God of fire, you won't be needing it.
But don't dog me, I'm a Pirates fan and I'll not save any until they win the world series.

I find myself saving far too many cigars, a bunch for proper reviews, and others for the right occasion. I've actually been re-evaluating my saving scheme recently, and forcing myself to smoke some cigars that I've been saving for no good reason. I guess I'm a bit of a packrat.

I usually save one cigar at least from every box to be smoked at a later date - not special occassions really. I do have some cigars like some Opus X that are one of a kind - or weren't regular production. Some are more or less Novelty - but I plan on smoking everything I have.

Cigar aren't relics! That's a good quote, can't remember where it came from

I have an Ashton VSG that's a little more than a year old. Hey! It's Friday, maybe I'll smoke it tonight!

My son's first B-day is 9/26 and I have had a Padron 26 I bought when he was born last year waiting along with a bottle of JD single barrel. It has been an awesome first year so a great smoke and drink will top it off.
