Relighting a cigar
I was reminded about a post I made on another board a while back. It never ceases to amaze me how well this works. I find that doing this when the cigar starts to get bitter towards the end really takes the bitterness out and lets me enjoy the cigar right down to the nub.

i will have to give that try. When I relight a smoke, I tend to blow thru it, and you get a great looking shot of flame coming out the end. your method sounds more impressive. Thanks

I've tried it and for the most part it works. However, there some cigars that it won't work on because it's the tobacco, not the build-up of gases, etc.

one thing that it doesn't mention, once the color changes, wait about 30 seconds or so before you taste it again. The cherry will be very hot after purging for so long and if you puff it, it will likely create more harsh taste before you can see if it helped

I do that when I smoke alone or at home, Is it ok to do it , lets say at the cigar shop in front of other people? Some people have looked at me funny before.

I think I've heard Doc talk about this very thing. . . I'm going to have to try it.

Thanks for sharing. This was also on a recent podcast I was listening to ... DWSC I think, and it was referred to as "purging" the cigar.

Good Tip!!!--I also do this and does work well. Also when I don't finish and want to relight later, I will blow through the cigar until it is no smoke and or fire coming from the end. Be careful--
:arghhhh:
