I'm a rester. It tends to keep me smoking a little slower which in turns makes the cigar much more enjoyable for me

If i hold I will will smoke it too fast, resting helps me prolong the experience. I usually hold though.

Since I used to smoke cigarettes and now can only smoke cigars outside... the habit is holding it... I like to roll it, move it from hand to hand... part of the appeal I guess...

I guess this explains why I'm a fast smoker...I normally keep my cigar in my mouth, holding it between my teeth.

I gotta say though it makes it hard for people to understand me while playing games that require voice communications. I constantly get the "take the damn cigar out your mouth and speak english!"

Oh yeah. The answer to the question... well, I do both. Since I got the stinky ashtray, I am more of a rester when relaxing, especially when I have the Powerbook and stay online all the damn time on this board

Otherwise, I'm a holder. I'd probably say, 70 - 30% rester to holder, respectively.
