CT smoking laws?

what are the CT smoking laws? any bans? I will be smoking at least one cigar a night around midnight) at the university or hartford dorm I'm staying at, just look for the big man in a kilt.

during the day I will be at the convention center in hartford, and theres a smokeshop right down the street, I'll be stopping in there every once in a while

I just came back from visiting my parents in CT and this is the scoop I got from a couple of cigar stores. No indoor smoking - I'm not sure if that just applies to places with food because you can smoke in cigar stores. I asked specificially about the beach and other public outdoor places and they said "No problem." However, I would check with the University and the smoke shop. I know that several Universities have gone non-smoking, but I'm not sure about CT.

CT has passed a no indoor smoking but there are some exceptions. Some were grandfathered and some whose tobacco sales are over 60% (I think thats the number) can still have indoor smoking. You are fine outside but if you want to smoke inside just ask. Most places will be kind enough to tell you.
